Lindsay Lohan is mad as hell and she’s not going to take it anymore.

To finish off a fortnight in which she was treated at a hospital for dehydration, publicly lambasted by a studio honcho and subpoenaed to testify in a lawsuit against her mother, the 20-year-old actress ended up feeling shaken, not stirred, by a run-in with the paparazzi Thursday at L.A.’s signature celebrity watering hole, The Ivy.

While the details of what went down are sketchy, Lohan decided it was time to do a little sounding off of her own.

In an email to celebrity gossipmonger Perez Hilton, Lohan said that she “almost witnessed 3 kids being hit by paparazzi?Never in my life had an experience as I just did with the paparazzi. I am not kidding. I am shaking, cannot breathe a bit, scared, anxious and sad.”

(A witness who lunched near Lohan that day said that what she saw/heard was a photog warning a few young girls to back away because there was bound to be craziness when Lohan left the restaurant.)

According to Hilton, the letter posted Thursday on PerezHilton.com is “definitely her.” Lohan’s rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, couldn’t be reached for comment.

“When I got it I was really concerned,” Hilton, who says that he and Lohan correspond often by email, told E! Online. “I thought, ‘not another car accident, that’s the last thing she needs right now.’ “

Hilton said that he contacted Lohan’s assistant, who assured him that the Just My Luck star’s letter was in reference to a particularly “bad paparazzi day.”

“This really was her way of speaking out about everything that’s happened in the last two weeks,” Hilton said. “She hasn’t gone on the record before yesterday about everything that’s been going on.”

Instead, Lohan’s mother, Dina, spoke up on her little girl’s behalf, saying that the letter that Morgan Creek Productions CEO James G. Robinson sent to Lohan taking her to task for her supposedly questionable work ethic was “way out of line.”

Robinson had blamed Lohan’s incessant partying for her frequent lateness and absences from the set of her latest movie, Georgia Rule.

Despite Thursday being what Lohan deemed her “day off,” she decided the time was right to offer her own take on recent events.

It’s “disgusting what these g-d damn people are doing to me,” she wrote to Hilton. “As well as the people in my life that I work with/for. It’s vulgar and I’m saddened for myself. And, ANY of those willing to fall into judging me in any way in the future or past, can watch the video tapes that these men/women take of me while they are being invasive towards my DAY off?Which I never have anymore.”

And, in a shout-out to Robinson and company:

“Send that to Morgan Creek.”

Which presumably means that she hasn’t had time to partake in the “ongoing all night heavy partying” that Robinson accused her of. (Or it means she hasn’t had enough time to party because of her heavy work schedule.)

But as for the Thursday incident with the paparazzi that left Lohan feeling quite sorry for herself, Hilton said that it was understandable why the Mean Girls star finally got fed up.

“The thing about Lindsay is, she plays along,” Hilton said. “She’ll give the photographers a shot but there comes a point where even she can acknowledge that it’s too much. She’s trying to send a message that they should either step back, or she’s going to take steps to make it more difficult.”

In an interview for the September issue of British GQ, the star whose oeuvre includes The Simple Life and One Night in Paris set out to dispel rumors that she’s a sure thing when it comes to taking relationships to that next level.

“People think I sleep with everyone, but I’m not like that,” Hilton told the magazine. “Kissing is all I do.

“I’m not having sex for a year. I’ve decided…I’ll kiss, but nothing else.”

The hotel heiress, who seems to change boyfriends faster than shoes, appears excited about the effect her vow of chastity could have on her personal life.

“The reason so many of my relationships don’t work is guys are like, ‘Hey, what’s going on? It’s been like four months and I’m only getting a kiss here,’ ” said Hilton, who was partying with on-again love interest Stavros Niarchos on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ yacht this week after attending the rap mogul’s annual White Party at the Nikki Beach Club in Saint-Tropez.

While there’s no word on what Niarchos has to say about Hilton’s new resolution, she sounded as if there’s some method to her madness–she has thought this one over and knows exactly what she’s doing.

“I feel good about it,” the 25-year-old told GQ. “I like the way guys so crazy when they can’t have sex with you. If he can’t have you, he stays interested. The moment he has you, he’s gone. Unless he is really in love with you.”

She went on to say that, as far as she knows, she only plans to walk down the aisle once and that, when she goes on dates, she prefers to be treated “like a princess.”

As Hilton tones down the sex, her doppelganger is upping the salacious quotient. Professional Paris look-alike Natalie Reid is giving Playboy readers an eyeful in the September issue. Hilton herself says that she has been turning down offers to disrobe for the men’s magazine since she was 17.

What Goes on in Pharrell’s Mind?

Pharrell Williams has some serious bling. He has two “proper rings”: One is a 26-carat canary yellow Asher-cut diamond, and the other is a 23-carat white Asher-cut diamond. These are not “going to the club” rings, he said, but are reserved for more special occasions.Williams, one of the hottest producers in hip-hop, also opts for the fashionable/functional. He is currently waiting for famed jeweler to the stars Jacob the Jeweler to finish his gold-plated BlackBerry.

Did Williams ever see himself donning these kinds of accessories, let alone becoming the male face of luxury designer Louis Vuitton, when he was a kid growing up in a Virginia Beach, Va., housing project?

“No way!” he told ABC News.

Now, at 33 years old, he is one of the most sought-after producers in the music industry. He hopes to push the limits of music even further with his first solo album, “In My Mind,” which dropped last week.

The album, which has received mixed and downright negative reviews from Rolling Stone and The New York Times, comes from a place that Williams calls “left of center.”

Williams sees this latest venture as purely artistic and experimental. The purpose of this much-anticipated and much-delayed album is not to make money, although that would be nice, but to break some ground, he said.

“It’s meant to sort of let people in and let my friends into my mind,” he said. “It’s kind of like the director’s cut for the first chapter of my career.”

R&B and Bikers

Williams’ musical story began at age 12, when he started playing the drums, but he had long been surrounded by music.

When he was 9, his family moved from the projects to a modest suburban home that he said was often filled with the sounds of soul music by Earth, Wind and Fire, and the Jackson Five. A biker group called the Renegades lived across the street and exposed Williams to rock.

His musical palette craved diversity from an early age, and he found a kindred spirit in Chad Hugo, whom he met in junior high. The two later formed the Neptunes production company.

Their big break came when they were discovered by Teddy Riley, the producer who’d created the “new jack swing” style of hip-hop. Riley enlisted Williams to write a verse in the 1992 rap hit “Rump Shaker ” by Riley’s group, Wreckx-N-Effect.

It exploded from there. Williams and Hugo are behind some of the biggest hits in recent memory. Remember Justin Timberlake’s “Senorita” and Britney Spears‘ “Slave 4 U”? The Neptunes is the company behind those songs. The company also produced Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” and Snoop Dogg’s “Drop it Like Its Hot.”

“The whole Neptunes sound was a really different sound when they first started producing,” Leah Rose, music editor of the hip-hop magazine XXL said. “It has more of an ’80s new wave feel — great club music.”

Williams emerged to become the more visible of the two. Using his signature raspy falsetto, he sang the hook on Jay-Z’s “I Just Want to Love You” and on Snoop Dogg’s “Beautiful.” And more and more, he appears in the videos alongside rappers and voluptuous female dancers.

He also fronted the rock-punk hip-hop band he formed with Hugo and their friend Shae Thornton, NERD, which stands for No One Ever Really Dies. The band, Williams told the BBC last year, is now “dead” due to disputes with the label, Virgin Records.

The Man Behind the Curtain

Williams has said many times that he does not see himself as Dorothy but rather as the Wizard behind the curtain. He “speaks for the people” when he produces, he said, but as a solo performer, he sees himself as skirting the edge of the mainstream and pushing hip-hop in a new direction.

“That is what I take pride in. I am always switching it to the left and to the right, up down — cater-corner,” Williams said.

“It’s meant for a different crowd. My fans are forward thinkers; they all aspire to do their own sh-t,” he said of “In My Mind,” which he calls a boutique album.

Artistic integrity alone is a noble cause, but sometimes danger lies in being too left of center, said Benjamin Meadows-Ingram, the senior editor at Vibe magazine.

“He seems fascinated by the idea by doing things that are left of center; that’s what gets him off professionally and creatively. It’s questionable how much of an impact this will have as far as shifting the sound,” Meadows-Ingram said. “If Jay-Z came out and made this album — a massive, massive rapper — I think you would have a bigger shift.”

A problem with the experimental and artistic approach Williams takes in “In My Mind” is that at times it seems too indulgent, Meadows-Ingram said. Producer-turned-rapper Kanye West, who collaborates with Williams on the single “Number One,” does a better job of appealing to a mass audience, Meadows-Ingram said.

Yet many said that this mutability is what lies at the root of Williams’ success. Lately, he has been everywhere. Not only does he sing, rap and produce, but he also has followed the likes of Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z into the design arena with his clothing lines Ice Cream, which is casual, and Billionaire Boys Club, which he said is a mix between Ralph Lauren and Willy Wonka. Williams, who often calls himself “Skateboard P” when rapping, also sponsors the Ice Cream skateboarding team.

It seems as though Williams is reaching for that mythical level of an artist like Prince, whom Williams called “the king.” Prince has long since left the mainstream, but thanks to his devoted fans, will always sell records.

“I don’t think him being an artist is the end all and be all of Pharrell — he does like a million and one things,” Rose said. “He’s sort of at the point where he can do anything he wants.”

Meadows-Ingram said Williams may sometimes be out there, but he’s never boring. “He’s one of those artists that no matter what he does, you cannot ignore him.”

A minor league baseball team is stepping up to bat for Britney Spears.

The Newark Bears announced plans to host Britney Spears Baby Safety Night on Friday in honor of the pop star who has been repeatedly slammed for her cavalier approach to driving with her toddler son.

Spears first faced public wrath in February after she was photographed driving with her now 11-month-old Sean Preston on her lap, rather than safely restrained in a car seat, as required by California law.

The “Oops” singer later copped to making a bad decision, but ultimately blamed the “physically agressive” paparazzi for putting her in a “horrifying, frightful” situation.

She also defended the practice, pointing out that as a child back home in Louisiana, she often sat on her father’s lap while driving. “We’re country,” Spears stated.

In May, she was again photographed in a less-than-ideal driving situation with Sean Preston strapped into his car seat, but facing forwards rather than backwards, as experts advise for children of his age and weight. The singer’s rep spoke up in her defense, pointing out that Spears was in “total compliance” with legal guidelines, if not safety recommendations.

Hopefully, by the number two arrives, Spears will have polished her maternal motoring skills. If not, at least others may learn from her mistakes.

On the team’s official Website, the Bears said that the star’s mishaps raised public awareness of an important issue.

“The Bears know that it is Ms. Spears’ celebrity that has brought attention to the fact that not all new mothers in New Jersey are “not that innocent” when it comes to caring for their bouncing bundle of joy,” the team said in a statement.

Baseball fans who show up to Friday’s showdown against the appropriately named Road Warriors will receive information on baby safety guidelines and a chance to win a free infant car seat from the American Automobile Association.

The event will also feature a surprise appearance by a singing and dancing guest, whom the team would not name.

Those willing to subject themselves to the humiliation of dressing up like a baby can get into the game for free. Those who bring babies (under the age of four) or baby toys will also have their admission fee waived.

No word if there’s any benefit to those who show up dressed like Spears or her other half, Kevin Federline.

Tomkat wedding rumors continue

Speculation has been sparked after several huge tents and outdoor chandeliers were spotted being erected at the Scientology Celebrity Centre, in California.

The Mission: Impossible III actor proposed to the former Dawson’s Creek star – who gave birth to their first child, Suri, in April – in Paris last year.

A source is quoted by website MollyGood.com as saying: “I live in Beachwood Canyon, right up the hill from the Scientology Celebrity Centre, and there is most definitely something going on soon.

“I know that Tom and Katie have been there twice in the last week and now the centre is covered in tents and outdoor chandeliers. Huge planters are in the street to prevent anyone driving too close.”

Meanwhile, it has been claimed the couple’s hairstylist, Oscar Blandi, has been booked “all weekend” for them.

The increased speculation comes just days after Tom, 44, and Katie, 27, announced they will tie the knot at some point this year

The Top Gun star’s spokesman Paul Blach said: “As far as I know, the plans are for late summer, maybe a bit later.”

However, it has been claimed that Katie’s parents will not attend the nuptials if the pair wed in a Scientology ceremony.

Just months after winning the battle against breast cancer, Aussie songstress Kylie Minogue is throwing herself into gruelling six-hour rehearsals while getting set for her comeback tour.

Pitt says he won’t marry Jolie

Brad Pitt has told his grandmother that he will not marry Angelina Jolie.
The actor telephoned his 83-year-old gran, Betty Russell, and told her he will not wed his new love as he is still not over his divorce from Jennifer Aniston.

Betty told Britain’s Star magazine: “Brad promised his wife on their wedding day they’d be together, and they didn’t make it. He is a sensitive soul who just wants to make sure he can keep his promise this time around.”

Betty has also revealed how happy Brad is being a dad.

The Troy star celebrated the arrival of his first biological child, Shiloh Nouvel, in May, and has become a legal guardian to Angelina’s two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara.

McCartney to lose title after divorce

Lady Heather Mills McCartney is set to lose her title when she divorces Sir Paul McCartney.
The animal rights activist received the prestigious title after marrying the former Beatle – who was knighted for his achievements in music in 1997.

In accordance with British law, Heather, 38, would still be allowed to use the title if she keeps her husband’s surname.

However, if the former model reverts back to her maiden name after the divorce she will not be eligible to carry on calling herself Lady Heather.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “When a Sir gets divorced his wife is allowed to use the title Lady but only if it is in the middle of her name.

“But if she reverts back to her maiden name, or remarries, then she will not be allowed to use Lady at all.”

Heather inherited the title of Lady McCartney from Paul’s late first wife, Linda, who died from cancer in 1998.

Hudson injured in pole-dancing mishap

Kate Hudson is reportedly nursing two painful injuries after hurting herself pole-dancing.
The actress, who is married to Black Crowes front man Chris Robinson, had been practising her sexy dance moves when she took a nasty tumble.

Hudson, the daughter of Hollywood star Goldie Hawn, pulled a muscle in her leg and was left with a friction burn on her arm.

A friend of the actress said: “She’s out of the stripper game for a while.”

Hudson has made no secret of the fact she regularly pole-dances to stay fit and keep her husband happy in the bedroom.

The You, Me and Dupree star recently confessed she regularly strips off and gyrates for Robinson, to keep their bedroom antics exciting.

TIMBERLAKE USES SEX OBSESSION TO INSPIRE ALBUM TITLE

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE decided to call his new album FUTURESEX/LOVE SOUNDS after collaborators pointed out that all of his tracks were either about sex or love. The Grammy Award-winning singer decided to combine all of the elements that made up the new album to create the title. The star appeared on MTV’s TRL Monday and explained, “I was driving home from the studio, it was like six o’clock in the morning and the sun was coming up. “The (music company exec) who was actually working on the record with me, he said, ‘This sounds like the future. You’ve found a way to mix so many genres’ and it just kind of stuck with me. “Then the next day I was back in the studio mixing and the engineer said, ‘Do you realise that you have a lot of songs on this album that either have sexy or the word love in them?’ “So FutureSex/LoveSounds – now that’s the album title!”

HUDSON TELLS PAPARAZZI TO BACK OFF

Hollywood beauty KATE HUDSON has warned the paparazzi not to photograph her son. Hudson has a two-year-old son, RYDER RUSSELL, with her BLACK CROWES singer husband CHRIS ROBINSON and is incensed when photographers snap the young tot. She says, “The only thing that bugs me is my son. When people are taking pictures of your kid, he doesn’t know what he wants. He is two-and-a-half years old. “He doesn’t choose that, and I think that’s unfair. Hudson remembers how strict he was with photographers, saying, “If we were with my dad he was like ‘not with my kids’. Nobody would ever take a picture, ever. “The only time I remember it (got out of hand) was at Heathrow Airport. It scared me because it was so weird and foreign to me.”

Die Hard sequel finally gets a release date, title

The Die Hard series is officially back, with Bruce Willis taking on the role of detective John McClane for the fourth time. Furthermore the fourth instalment has been given a title, a release date and a director.The sequel has gone through a series of title changes from, Die Hard 4, then Die Hard 4: Die Hardest, then Die Hard 4.0, then Die Hard: Reset and finally the latest and official one has been titled ‘Live Free or Die Hard’.

The plot centres on an attack on the US computer network which threatens to bring the country to a standstill.

It will be directed by Len Wiseman, best known for the Underworld films, which star his wife, Kate Beckinsale.

However, while McClane might be stuck in the analog age, a hacker who might have the skills to take the bad guys to task will join him in his war against the bad guys. ‘Jeepers Creepers’ actor Justin Long is reportedly assisting the 50-year-old actor as the hacker in the movie.

The official figures state that the “Die Hard” franchise has taken in roughly $740 million worldwide to date. The 20th Century Fox has set June 29, 2007 date for the release of the movie, reports Zap2it.

Britney to launch kids’ clothing line in collaboration with Sheen

 After making it big in the pop industry, second time pregnant Britney Spears is planning to launch a kids’ clothing line in collaboration with ‘Wall Street’ star Charlie Sheen.Spears is eager to work with Sheen after falling in love with his super successful range of kids clothing, the one he launched with business partner Michael Berens, which is sold in more than 125 stores.

“Brit’s people approached Sheen Kidz out of the blue. She’d seen his clothing and really liked it. “She wants to start her own children’s clothing line and she thought Sheen Kidz would be able to help get things off the ground”, Contactmusic quoted a source, as telling US OK! Magazine.

Sheen reportedly is also game for the venture, and is willing to expand his business with the pop star.

“Charlie believes it would be fun to work with Britney”, the source added.

The ‘Toxic’ singer, whose son Sean Preston will celebrate his first birthday on 14 September, 06, is due to deliver her second baby around the same time.

DOHERTY SLAMS LOHAN’S BEHAVIOUR

Former BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 star SHANNEN DOHERTY insists her reported bad behaviour was nothing compared to LINDSAY LOHAN’s recent troubles. Lohan received a scathing letter from an executive in charge of her new movie GEORGIA RULE last week reprimanding her for arriving late to the set and partying. Doherty adds, “I wasn’t out partying at the age of 17 while my mom was out shopping. “My mom was right by my side saying, no you’re going to make up your bed, take out the garbage and you’re going to be a normal girl. I didn’t have a date until I was an 18-year-old! “I showed up late for work and I got fired and I learned my lesson. My parents didn’t say, ‘Oh we feel so bad for you’, my mom looked at me and said, ‘Where was your work ethic?’”

LEDGER CONFIRMED FOR BATMAN

Australian actor HEATH LEDGER has been confirmed as sardonic villain the JOKER in BATMAN sequel THE DARK KNIGHT. CHRISTIAN BALE will reprise his role as BRUCE WAYNE/Batman and director CHRISTOPHER NOLAN is returning to direct his second installment of the franchise. The script for the film will be written by Nolan’s brother, JONATHAN, adapted from a story by Christopher Nolan and DAVID GOYER. The pair co-wrote BATMAN BEGINS last year (05). Supermodel Kate Moss fell so much in love with the sculpture of a blue tit lying ‘asleep’ on a prayer book beneath a glass chandelier, that she shelved out 4,000 pounds for it.The sculpture, titled ‘To Every Seed His Own Body’, has been created by fine art taxidermist Polly Morgan, who confirmed the British supermodel’s purchase, reports The Sun.

However, it seems that Moss’ new purchase might just affect her friendship with actress Sadie Frost, and designer Stella McCartney – both of whom are well-known campaigners for animal welfare.

JUDE LAW’s ex-wife SADIE FROST has won her libel battle against a British newspaper which claimed the actress and fashion designer attacked a young model. Associated Newspapers, which owns the Mail on Sunday, will pay substantial damages for the article last August (05) alleging Frost mauled a guest on ELIZABETH HURLEY’s TV talent show PROJECT CATWALK. Frost’s lawyer, REBECCA LEAVER, told London’s High Court on Monday (31JUL06), “The article suggested that during the Project Catwalk post-show party, Ms Frost launched an angry and bullying attack on a young model whilst she was in the ladies’ toilet and that Ms Frost’s attack was so appalling that it warranted her undergoing professional anger management treatment. “The defendant has paid Ms Frost substantial compensation for the damage and distress caused by their false allegations.” The exact compensation sum has not been disclosed.

Madonna has managed to do what political leaders all over the world have failed at – unite Rome’s Catholic, Muslim and Jewish leaders.Unfortunately for the singer the religious leaders have united to slam her decision to continue with plans to perform her mock-crucifixion during her show at the Olympic Stadium in the Italian capital.

Father Manfredo Leone of Rome’s Santa Maria Liberatice has branded the move as being “disrespectful, in bad taste and provocative” and said that it was “close to blasphemy”.

“Being raised on a cross with a crown of thorns like a modern Christ is absurd. Doing it in the cradle of Christianity comes close to blasphemy,” E!Online quoted him, as saying.

Mario Scialoja, the head of Italy’s Muslim League, also added that Madonna’s new stunt was in “the worst taste”.

“I think her idea is in the worst taste and she’d do better to go home,” he said.

Riccardo Pacifici, the spokesman of the Roman Jewish community, agreed with both and said that the ‘Hung Up’ singer should pull the offending routine from the Rome show.

R and B singer Ashanti was awestruck when she attended talk show host Oprah Winfrey’s legends ball and was handed a pair of diamond earrings.The Foolish singer was a guest at the event, which honoured famous African American women, last May (05).
