Mccartney Hints At Expensive Settlement…. Sir Paul McCartney has hinted that his divorce with estranged wife Heather Mills could involve a huge settlement of up to $250 million (£138.8 million).
British newspaper editor Piers Morgan, who originally introduced the pair in 1999, revealed that the former Beatle had joked with him on the phone about the results of his matchmaking.
Speaking to Us Tv presenter Jay Leno, Morgan says, “He rang me and says, ‘Cheers pal you just cost me a quarter-of-a-billion dollars.’ “I said, ‘Anytime, Paul.’” Meanwhile Heather Mills has moved into a $1 million (£550,000) converted barn following her split from SIR Paul McCartney – just 15 minutes from her estranged husband’s estate in East Sussex, England.
The animal rights activist snapped up the five-bedroom property in May nine days after their break-up was announced.
But she could only move in on Wednesday (02Aug06) as the residence was being revamped by builders.
