Another Hollywood Feud Heats Up As Madsen Slams Pitt…. Reservoir Dogs tough guy Michael Madsen has attacked his one-time co-star Brad Pitt for not standing up for him and helping him land a leading role in his new movie.

Tough guy Madsen was offered the chance to play Pitt’s movie brother in new western The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford, but the actor refused to audition for the role.

Madsen felt sure that Pitt, who teamed up with him in Thelma & Louise, would vouch for his acting skills and attitude – but the Frank James role was offered to Sam Shepard.

Upset Madsen says, “You would think Brad would speak up for me. He obviously didn’t do that – all because I said I didn’t want to read for this movie.. I’m terrible at auditions”.

The Kill Bill star adds, “They gave the role to Sam Shepard who’s twice my age and nowhere near the age of the real Frank James… It’s just typical of the way things go for me”.

Sheryl Crow: Dating Is ‘Terrifying’

Sheryl Crow is back in the dating scene – and calls it “terrifying.”

In an interview with CNN’s Larry King, Crow, 44, says she has found someone she likes, admitting, “It is good news, you know.”

The singer, who split with fiancé Lance Armstrong in February, is keeping mum about her love life. But a source confirms to PEOPLE that she is seeing an L.A.-based film director.

“They’ve been dating for a few months now,” the source says. “But it’s not serious. They are taking it very slowly.” As for how the couple met, “It was a setup by her friend Courteney Cox,” says the source.

Asked by King if she wants to be married, Crow answered: “Yeah, I would love to be married. I love the idea of it. … My parents have been married 51 years and they’re great people and happy and they enjoy each other, so ideally, yes, I would love to be married.”

Crow also said she’d love to have children. Asked whether she’d adopt, she said, “Absolutely. … Obviously, scientifically I’m getting older (but) I don’t feel my age. If I were to adopt, I could love a child that came through somebody else’s womb as easily as I could my own.”

On how a potential boyfriend could meet her, Crow said, “Well, I go to the grocery store like everybody else.”

Lance’s Boyfriend Speaks!

Lance Bass‘ boyfriend and Season 4 winner on The Amazing Race, Reichen Lehmkuhl, is talking. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Lehmkuhl discusses how great it is to see Lance so comfortable with his decision to come out.

Lehmkuhl said, “I will say that Lance is happier than he has ever been. It has been a long ride and it’s a huge relief and I couldn’t be happier for him and I couldn’t be more proud of him.”

Although rumors had been floating for some time regarding Lance’s sexual orientation he had never admitted to being gay. But Lehmkuhl said that these outside forces did have much to do with Lance finally deciding to tell everyone his secret.

“I think through the entire time of being in the closet anyone is going to feel pressures from this or that. You know, obviously from the article, this was the time that Lance decided it was, you know, that he was ready to come out.”

Lehmkuhl has a book coming out entitled Here’s What We’ll Say: A Memoir of Growing Up, Coming Out, and the U.S. Air Force. Lance has a show in the works with band member Joey Fatone.

Star Jones Reynolds: I’m Not Getting a Divorce

Star Jones Reynolds is hitting back against rumors that her marriage to Al Reynolds is on the rocks – and threatening legal action against those responsible for spreading them.

“These categorically false stories and their continuation are clearly being generated by someone for vindictive reasons alone,” the former View cohost, 44, says in a statement issued by her publicist.

The statement goes on to say that the couple’s “legal representatives have been investigating the source and motivation of these boldfaced lies for some time now and are very close to exposing the individual who has perpetrated them. At which time, appropriate legal action will be taken.”

On Wednesday, the New York Post reported that Reynolds has been telling friends she’s “heartbroken” because her marriage is falling apart. The paper quoted an unnamed source as saying, “Star has resigned herself to the fact that they’re not going to spend the rest of their lives together.”

However, Reynolds’s rep tells PEOPLE that there is no truth to the divorce rumors.

Reynolds and her husband, 36, married in 2004 in an elaborate ceremony that included the bride’s arrival at the church in a horse-drawn carriage.

“Every single wedding fantasy I ever had was fulfilled, down to the most handsome groom in the history of the world,” Reynolds told PEOPLE at the time.

Tom Cruise’s ex-girlfriend, Penelope Cruz, is the latest celeb to say she’s seen Suri Cruise.

“I met Suri. She is really beautiful. She is really special,” the 32-year-old actress told reporters Thursday at the London premiere of her new film, Volver. “One of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen. And I am extremely happy for them. They are really happy and doing great.”

Cruz, who dated Cruise from 2001 to 2004, declined to offer other details of the meeting.

Suri, the daughter of Cruise, 44, and Katie Holmes, 27, hasn’t been seen in public since she was born on April 18.

But this month, Jada Pinkett Smith told PEOPLE that she also has seen the baby. “She’s one of the sweetest babies I’ve ever met in my life,” she said. “She’s an absolute beauty and she’s Daddy’s little girl.”

Cruise’s pal and fellow Scientologist, Leah Remini, has also met Suri. The King of Queens star told PEOPLE Suri “looks like Tom and Katie. She’s just beautiful.”

In other Cruz news, when asked at the London premiere about another ex-boyfriend, Matthew McConaughey, with whom she split in June, her eyes became teary. “I’m not going to talk about it,” she told PEOPLE.

The ad appeared yesterday (03Aug06) and said, “I, Rob Schneider, a 1/2 Jew, pledge from this day forth to never work with Mel Gibson-actor-director-producer-and anti-Semite”.

Schneider then went on to say even if he were offered the lead role in Passion Of The Christ 2 or a “juicy voice-over role in his new flick Apocalypto and spoke ancient Mayan” he would still turn them down.

He also repeatedly praised Hollywood talent manager Bernie Brillstein for publicly saying he would refuse to work with Gibson because “I just don’t like bigots”.

The actor continued by saying he had recently directed a film called Big Stan in which there was a part for a Nazi gangleader “which apparently Mel would be perfect for”.

Schneider said he would still not cast Gibson in that role and ended the letter by saying, “Of course that would only be after I talked with my financial backers. Some of whom share Mr Gibson’s hankering for a good bottle of tequila. Because, after all…I don’t get to call all the shots”.

Paris Hilton is set to perform at a British music festival.

The fledgling singer – who recently released her debut single ‘Stars Are Blind’ from her self-titled debut album – has reportedly been asked to perform for VIP guests at the upcoming V Festival.

Paris will potentially play in front of a host of stars, including supermodel Naomi Campbell and ‘Desperate Housewives’ heartthrob Jessie Metcalfe, when the festival kicks off in two weeks time.

Paris has reportedly been asked to sing ‘Stars Are Blind’ and several other tunes by the festival’s organisers.

A source said: “We always have a high number of celebrities chilling out there and we make sure we have a special performance for them.

“We think Paris would go down a storm, which is why we have asked her.”

Paris recently revealed she was desperate to play at a British music festival to prove she can sing live.

She said: “I really want to do a festival so I can prove I have talent.”

The 31-year-old brunette admits she was frustrated after being rejected for several acting roles before getting her big break playing feisty housewife Gabrielle Solis.

She said in an interview with Playboy magazine: “I was turned down for the starring role in Dark Angel – which went to Jessica Alba. And I was snubbed for the lead in Spanglish. I auditioned to be one of the girls who escorted the wrestlers on Battle Dome and didn’t get it and I was fired from The Young and the Restless. But I’m not bitter at all.”

Michelle Pfeiffer To Star In ‘Hairspray’

Michelle Pfeiffer is to make a return to the big screen with a new film version of the Broadway musical, ‘Hairspray’.

Pfeiffer will reportedly be co-starring alongside John Travolta and Queen Latifah in the new film.

She will be playing the film’s villain Velma von Tussel; a beauty queen turned TV presenter.

According to BangShowbiz, director Adam Shankman said: “I’m going to dress and wig Michelle to death on this one.”

Shooting kicks off in Canada this September and the film is scheduled to be released December 2007.
